Fixing the Gap in Early Stage Funding. Stetson Family Office (SFO) began studying the broken funding for life science companies focusing on the Valley of Death which in the U.S. is from the formation of the company to about year three. SFO met with life science leaders in 37 communities defined as cities, regions and states around the globe and believes that there are 13 based on its readiness survey that qualify for being another Kendall Square life science center. It is working with leaders in several of these communities to solve this problem.
